Ham Radio

Greetings from the wonderful state of Maine, grid square FN55hd, latitude: 45.165859 and longitude -69.378615!

I’m Ed (formally Edward L. Tatro, Jr.) and I thank you for stopping by.

NPOA I plan on activating two parks in the very near future, TR-01and NP01.

Location: I’m located in North-Central Maine.  My QTH is Guilford, Maine, Piscatacquis County.  In the heart of the Maine Highlands, on the banks of the Piscataquis River, rests one of the premier manufacturing communities in Northern New England.  Piscataquis County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maine. It is Maine’s least-populous county. It is located at the geographic center of Maine. In land area, Piscataquis is one of the largest U.S. counties east of the Mississippi River. It is also one of two counties in the Northeast (and seven counties east of the Mississippi River)[3] that meets Frederick Jackson Turner‘s requirements for “frontier” country – that is, having fewer than six inhabitants per square mile, the other being Hamilton County, New York.

I’m a man of many hats and talents.  I love nature, animals, my favorites are Owls, wolves and of course our cats and dog.  I’m also a blogger and you can find my blog here.

Career: I work in the mental health field, I’m a MHRT-1 (Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician)/DSP (Direct Service Provider). I am also a Maine Notary Public

Current Employers: F.A.C.T. (Family and Children Together) and CWC (Charlotte White Center), and Ed’s Notary Service.

Memberships: I’m a proud member of the Piscataquis Amateur Radio Club, District 4 ARES Maine District 4: Piscataquis County and a proud Diamond Level: Basic Member of the ARRL.  American Association of NotariesNational Notary AssociationNADSP (just to name a few).

Primary Station: Yaesu 8900R.

Other Equipment: I also use a Baofeng UV-5RA, TYT MD-380 DMR/Moto TRBO UHF.

Please QSL! I collect QSL cards!  I QSL primarily via U.S. Mail or eQSL.
